Rosie Lee Brown

Rosie Lee Brown, 89, passed peacefully from this life surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Phil & Flo Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Rosie was born January 7, 1937, in Batesville, Arkansas, to William Elijah Barnett and Carrie Alice (Palmer) Barnett.

Rosie devoted her life to caring for others through her work in home health and childcare. She had a gentle spirit, a compassionate heart, and found joy in helping those around her. Outside of her work, Rosie loved painting and was an avid fan of Bob Ross, finding peace and happiness through art and creativity.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Dena (Aaron) McLaughlin of Jonesboro, Arkansas; grandchildren Frankie (Jazmine) Dudley, Mikayla Dudley, Jonathan Dudley, Malorie (Cody) Pate, Cameron (Caitlin) McLaughlin, and Donavan McLaughlin; and great-grandchildren Ellie-Nora Dudley, Gwynivere Dudley, Delilah McLaughlin, Jaxon McLaughlin, Kayden McLaughlin, Stella McLaughlin, Kai Pate, Leo Pate, and Asa Pate.

Rosie also leaves behind her brothers Leonard Barnett, Jerry Barnett, and William Elijah Barnett II; and sisters Wilma Goforth, Joyce Huff, and Carol Barnett.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Olan Barnett and Larry Barnett; and sisters Doris Huff and Mary Carnett.

Rosie will be remembered for her caring nature, artistic spirit, and the deep love she shared with her family and friends. Her memory will continue to live on through all those whose lives she touched.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date and to be announced by Hathcoat Funeral Services at Hathcoatfuneralservices.com
