Henry Harold Martin

Henry Harold Martin, 67, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died on April 5, 2026, at his residence.

Henry was born on June 24, 1958, in Paragould, Arkansas, to the late Marion Henry Martin and Georgie Lee Metz. He spent his life in Northeast Arkansas and made his home in Jonesboro, where he was known as a dedicated and hardworking man.

He worked for many years as an industrial equipment machine operator, taking great pride in his work and the life he built for his family. Henry was a faithful member of Woods Chapel Baptist Church in Brookland.

Henry enjoyed the simple things in life—working, fishing, and spending time visiting with friends and family. He was a natural storyteller who loved sharing memories and making others laugh. In his quieter moments, he could often be found watching Wheel of Fortune or keeping up with the news.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Henry Martin and Georgie Lee Metz; and his father-in-law, Huey Hammett.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Lana Martin; one niece, Emilee Hammett; one nephew, Austin Hammett; and his mother-in-law, Vera Hammett, and a host of other relatives. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
